Message from Co-Chairperson L-ORIC

It is a great honour and privilege for me to be the Co-Chairman of L-ORIC of this great institution. In today competitive environment, I am confident that L-ORIC will be successful in creating a research-based culture and develop new partnerships with other research-intensive institutions. In the recent past, L-ORIC has signed a number of Memorandum of understandings (MOUs) with various universities/institutions along with nominating focal person for each university/institution. These partnerships will not just be about transferring knowledge from lab to practice, they will provide an opportunity to the faculty and students to pursue foundational research, exchange ideas and develop into a centre for social change. L-ORIC has its humble beginning in 2018 as per guidelines of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Islamabad. Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization (L-ORIC) provides end to end services for all matters about research & development, innovation, commercialization, patents, collaborations, arranging seminars/symposium/ conferences/workshops, etc and / or research publication honorarium. By and large L-ORIC is the focal point for all research related activities of CMH Lahore Medical College & Institute of Dentistry (CMH LMC & IOD). L-ORIC facilitates college researchers (faculty members & students) to promote their research work nationally & internationally. Ultimate aim of scientific research, after all is to improve the human condition and so aiding the transfer and commercialization of discoveries serves the interests of the inventor and society. I look forward to more research and an extra-ordinary atmosphere within the campus. I pray to Allah that L-ORIC continues to flourish in future. Amin
