Message from Director L-ORIC 

Dr. Sye dImran Ali Shah

MBBS (KE), MPhil (UHS), DIC (Imperial College London), CHPE (CMH), PhD (Imperial College London.

The Local Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization (L-ORIC) at CMH LMC & IOD endeavors to promote research culture, facilitate innovation and encourage commercialization for its stakeholders. Our mission is to provide strategic and operational support to all the research activities taking place in our institute. We provide our faculty & students with diverse avenues to explore their potential in research & innovation. ORIC is engaged in establishing national & international, institutional and industrial collaborations. We have started joint research projects with our collaborating institutes and are actively engaged in arranging workshops for our faculty & students. We strive for research excellence and give opportunities to our researchers to refine their skills through workshops and hands-on training sessions on state-of-the-art instruments available in-house, and in other institutes. The purpose is to generate new ideas and construct application-based research proposals. We aim to address our current social and global challenges and facilitate our researchers by providing them a platform where they can showcase their progress across the country and start communication with the researchers across the globe. We believe in encouraging our researchers to participate in scientific competitions, conferences and symposia. They are also incentivized monetarily for publishing their work in high quality journals. We believe in improving health care system in Pakistan through evidence-based research, and L-ORIC at CMH LMC aspires to lead this venture with dedication and fevour.
